The Ithaca Fighting Imps stopped the Westwood Sixshooters, 5-4, at Imps Park. The Fighting Imps got a big game from Alaska Abney, who went 2 for 3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Jeffery Brock got the save, the 1st for him this season. The win lifts Ithaca to a record of 1-1.

Ithaca took a 5-4 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. With no one out, designated hitter Manny López hit a solo home run that set the crowd abuzz.
