USPL Rookie Announces Best Starter Wednesday, July 1st, 2037 Pepe Fontirroig really strutted his stuff in June with 4 wins and no losses and walked off with the Pitcher of the Month Award in the USPL Rookie. The Valley View starter was good news for his club, but bad news for the opposition. In 26.2 innings of work, Fontirroig limited opposing batters to 18 base hits and a .191 batting average. He totaled 37 strikeouts, issued 5 walks and had a 0.67 ERA. In 10 starts this season Fontirroig has fashioned a 7-2 record and a 2.31 ERA. |
