Season May Be Over for Shockers Martin Thursday, June 4th, 2037 The season is ending on a bad note for Joe Martin, starting pitcher for the Surprise Shockers. It was announced today that he will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Martin was hurt against the Indiana Lead Sox while throwing a pitch. He suffered a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and will be out for at least 11 months. Martin has made 5 starts so far this year and put up a 1-2 won-lost record with a 4.15 ERA. In 26 innings he has allowed 27 hits, walked 6 and struck out 27. |
