PR Best Hitter Trophy Goes to Yepes Tuesday, September 1st, 2037 Thiago Yepes is not used to being associated with Batter of the Month-caliber players, but today the Fort Knox catcher joined that select company when the USPL Rookie announced the results of August's voting. Yepes totaled 33 hits, 8 walks, 2 home runs, 15 RBIs and 15 runs scored last month to put together a .429 batting average and .483 on-base percentage. This season Yepes is swinging the bat at a .270 rate with 87 hits in 322 at-bats. To date he has hit 9 home runs, scored 42 runs and driven in 45. |
