Jackson Hits His Way to Newcomer of the Year Award Sunday, November 1st, 2037 For several weeks the rumor mill had it that the 2037 Newcomer of the Year Award winner was a foregone conclusion and the trophy would go to St. Louis first baseman, Dean Jackson. It is no longer a rumor -- the United States Premier League made it official today. Jackson won the award by hitting .289 and collecting 127 hits, 26 home runs, 73 RBIs and 16 walks. He scored 70 runs and posted a .334 on-base percentage. Oliver Villalva of the Vancouver Grey Wolves finished second in voting, while Denie Ulderink of the St. Louis Coeur finished third. |
