4-3 Win by Evergreens Continues Hot Start
The Evergreens had to overcome a fine performance from New Orleans pitcher Gilberto Medina to grab a 4-3 win at Evergreen Park. Medina allowed 2 earned runs over 5.2 innings. Vicente Durango picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-0. Sicnarf Loopstok was tagged with the loss. Portland, now 14-6, has gotten their season off to a good start.

In the bottom of the 7th, second baseman Jeff Solís gave Portland the lead when he hit a 2-run double. The Evergreens had been trailing 3-2, but the two-out double off New Orleans pitcher Marcos Mesorana changed that -- and Portland went on to win.

"I like our mindset right now," said Portland manager Brandon Slouck.
