The Nashville Outlaws moved to within one game of the Round 2 today, downing the visiting Las Vegas Flamingos at Nashville Stadium by a score of 3-2. Outlaws left-hander Aimo Latva was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 7 innings of 6-hit ball. The win gives the Outlaws a - advantage in the best-of- Silver League Championship.

Mike Clifton contributed to the Nashville win with a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the catcher had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 1 RBI.

"It's a huge change in atmosphere versus last game," Clifton said after the win. "I feel like we're back in the mix now. We just can't let up."
