Northern Lions BC catcher Sébastien Cornu was named player of the game after he went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The win gives the Northern Lions BC a - advantage in the best-of- Silver League Championship.

In the top of the first, Cornu pounced on a 1-0 fastball from Robert Smalls and hit a 3-run home run. It put Thunder Bay on top, 3-0.
