The Greenville 84s moved to within one game of the Round 2 today, downing the Hollywood Shredders on the road at The Hollywood Bowl by a score of 2-1. 84s right-hander Neil Franson was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball. The win gives the 84s a - advantage in the best-of- United States Premier League Championship.

Greenville used the timely hitting of Danny Trautmann to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the 84s ahead, 2-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"I found a nice groove out there," said Franson.
