The Valley View Cougars topped the Ladue Rams, 10-4, in USPL Rookie action at Ballpark of Wellsville. The player of the game was Valley View center fielder John Ingham. Valley View occupies 5th place in the Premier R at 48-45.

With Valley View leading 1-0 in the top of the first, Ingham hit a fastball from Jiao-long Yuen for a grand slam home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Cougars ahead, 5-0.

"The name of the game is scoring runs," Ingham said. "We did a good job of that today."
