Fort Knox Centennial starter Robert Taylor was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Crowley Cajuns, 5-3. Fort Knox reliever Brian Duncan picked up the win, upping his record to 3-4. Jesús García was saddled with the loss. Fort Knox is now riding a 3-game win streak.
Fort Knox took a 4-3 lead on Thiago Yepes's 78th hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Yepes hit in the top of the eighth, left Crowley pitcher Jesús García visibly frustrated.
"We'll savor this win," Yepes told the Fort Knox Times, "then get ready for the next game."
