Ducks Park was the site of a competitive game between the Long Island Ducks and Valley View Cougars.

The Long Island Ducks got a superb performance from pitcher Govaart van Ankeren. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Valley View. The Cougars won the game, 4-3. In spite of the loss, van Ankeren was named the player of the game. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball. Jean-Pierre Raynal earned the win for Valley View. He lasted 7 innings, allowing 3 earned runs on 6 hits, while striking out 3. With the win, he raised his record to 4-0. Esteban Sánchez, credited with the save, is now 8 for 11 in save opportunities.

Denis Perrin made it 4-3 in favor of Valley View when he delivered a run-scoring single. It came with one out in the top of the eighth. The Cougars went on to win.

"I like what I saw today," said Valley View manager Will Thomas, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."

Valley View now has a 3-game win streak.
