Cougars Win at Fort Knox, 6-1

Valley View pitcher Chris Plautz did his part in helping his team beat the Fort Knox Centennial, 6-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Plautz picked up the win for Valley View, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 3-7. Valley View now has a 3-game win streak.
It could have been a different outcome for Valley View, had it not been for Jerry Scott, the 19-year old center fielder . Scott contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Valley View up, 2-1.
"We looked pretty good up and down," said Valley View manager Will Thomas.
