There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day.

Benno Luby is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-6 against the Ogallala Octopi at Nebraska Aquarium today. The monster effort from the 18-year-old center fielder helped the Long Island Ducks take the win, 13-1.

"We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Octopi manager Soseki Matsunaga. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today."

Benno Luby hit a two-run home run off Hugo Piñón in the 1st, tripled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 8th and struck out in the 9th.

Luby is currently hitting at a .366 pace with 2 home runs, 17 RBIs and has scored 14 times.
