Cougars Win in Glorious Fashion
The Valley View Cougars defeated the Long Island Ducks, 8-7. Earning player of the game honors was center fielder Hisashi Koumura, who was 2-3 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. The winner was Valley View reliever Joe Knight, now 1-1. The loser was Binjimen Victor. Valley View is now 26-21.

Jerry Scott was the walk-off hero for Valley View. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Cougars pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
