Shockers Suffer 11-7 Loss to Lead Sox
|
A 4-RBI performance from the 18-year old third baseman Ralph Titus helped the Indiana Lead Sox beat the Surprise Shockers, 11-7. Indiana reliever Tim Lourens was credited with the win, to go to 2-0. Claude Khatoon took the loss for Surprise. Gregorio Cossiga finished to wrap up his 1st save.
Indiana used the timely hitting of Stephen Sparks to capture the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Lead Sox on top, 7-5. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.
"We got the victory," said Titus. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."
At 19-27, the Lead Sox find themselves in 8th place in the Premier R.
