Surprise pitcher Phil Waasdorp gave the Flanderses all they could handle, but in the end, Hudsonville left ïAbbots Ballpark with a 8-4 win. Waasdorp allowed 2 earned runs on 6 hits over 6 innings. Hudsonville reliever António Morterero picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Tim Eastham absorbed the loss. The losing streak for Surprise has now reached 5 games.

Hudsonville used the timely hitting of Francisco Obando to capture the win. The first baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the 11th inning to put the Flanderses ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was an important one.
