Kawaguchi Delivers Clutch At-Bat for Fort Knox in Walk-Off Win
|
The Fort Knox Centennial eked out a 1-0 win versus the Surprise Shockers at Ballpark of Baxter. Nobody did more than pitcher Sergio Tacuri, who captured player of the game honors. The Centennial, now 5-1, have stormed out of the gates.
Masafumi Kawaguchi swatted a solo home run for Fort Knox in the bottom of the ninth. The designated hitter went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and batted in 1.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Kawaguchi told the Fort Knox Times.
