Ramos Hits 2 home runs in Silver Sox Win
|
The Chicago Silver Sox bested the Portland Evergreens by a score of 6-4, with designated hitter Manuel Ramos getting the main credit. On the day, Ramos slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Silver Sox. Surrealiste Zhejna earned his 3rd save in 4 chances. With the win, Chicago has a record of 60-48. Portland falls to 64-44.
Ramos came through with some timely hitting for Chicago. With the score 3-2 in the bottom of the fourth and two down, Ramos hit a 0-2 cutter for a 2-run home run. His 9th home run of the season made it 5-2, Chicago.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Ramos told the Chicago Herald.
