Thunder Hawks Win Thriller, 5-4
The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks beat the Minnesota Loons, 5-4, at Thunder Hawks Ballpark. The Thunder Hawks got a fine performance from catcher Marc Ben, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3-4 with 3 singles. The winner was Dan Porter in relief. His record improves to 2-3. Ye-qing Tsai took the loss. The Thunder Hawks move to 61-41 with the win, while the Loons drop to 47-55.

Late-game drama came in the bottom of the ninth inning. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, the batter, Terry Kurucz, hit a single. It helped Ft. Polk South seize the win.

"It all depends on which version of our team shows up," said Kurucz. "When we put it all together, I think we're a great team."
