Shooters Get One-Run Win at Northville
|
Northville got a terrific game from right fielder Tillmam Cru. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Springfield, 4-3. Cru was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times. Earning his 4th save of the year was Oliver Moreno. The Shooters saw their record improve to 43-52.
One of the key players for the Shooters was first baseman António Delgado, who drilled a 2-run double in the top of the third inning. For the game, Delgado went 2 for 5 with a double. He drove in 2 runs.
"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Northville manager Andha Gangulee. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
