The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles downed the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks, 11-1, at Mercer Island Grounds. Jeffery Simpson led the way, going 2-for-5 for Mercer Island. Mercer Island is now 62-33, 2 games up in the Premier AA.

Simpson put Mercer Island up, 9-1, when he hit a 3-run home run off Jeff Wright in the bottom of the fifth. His 6th home run of the season helped the Screaming Eagles capture the win.

"I thought we played a nice game," Simpson told the Mercer Island Times. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
