Loons Turn Back Atlantic City, 6-4

The Minnesota Loons knocked off the Atlantic City Sonics, 6-4, at Loony Bin. Mauro López, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Minnesota won. The left fielder went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Martyn Drdio got the win, improving to 4-8. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 10 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 2 and walking 1. Ricardo Ramírez recorded the save for Minnesota, his 6th of the season.
López had an important at-bat with the bases loaded in the bottom of the fifth, when he grounded out, driving in 1 run. The Loons went on to win.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," López told the Minnesota Today.
The Loons raised their record to 40-50.
