Palladium Sox Rally to Eke Out Win
|
Fans who came to Palladium Labs watched the Virginia Palladium Sox and the Northville Eclipse fight to the finish.
The Virginia Palladium Sox beat the Northville Eclipse, 5-4, at Palladium Labs. The Palladium Sox got a fine performance from right fielder Santiago Miranda, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3-5 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Doug Lane got credit for the win, improving to 3-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1 innings.
Virginia took a 5-4 lead on Andy Garnet's 51st hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Garnet hit in the bottom of the tenth, left Northville pitcher Andrew Phillips visibly frustrated.
"Our team showed some resilience," said Miranda.
Virginia currently is in 4th place in the Premier AA at 45-37.
