Palladium Sox Need Extra Frames to Get Past Thunder Hawks
|
Virginia rode a decent outing from starter Sergio Gallegos to victory over the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks at Thunder Hawks Ballpark. The final score was 6-4. With the win over Ft. Polk South, the Palladium Sox improved to 44-36.
Jorge Castillo produced at a critical juncture for Virginia. It happened in the top of the tenth with Ricardo Peito on the mound and Virginia leading 4-3. That's when the 25-year old center fielder Castillo drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Gallegos said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
