Lake Minnetonka got a terrific game from second baseman Martin van Veldhuizen. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Minnesota, 5-4. van Veldhuizen was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He went 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Their 34-39 record puts the Loons 7th in the Premier AA.
Andrés Rodríguez, who is tied for 10th in the PAA in doubles with 16, contributed to the Minnesota win with a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth. For the game, the designated hitter had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
