Thunder Hawks Fall Short, 4-3, at Atlantic City
|
The Atlantic City Sonics defeated the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks, 4-3, in USPL Double A action at Sonics Ballpark, with Atlantic City designated hitter Bill Stanton named player of the game. The 5th-place Sonics improved to 32-31.
Atlantic City catcher Raoul de Gilde helped the Sonics to the win. In the bottom of the fourth inning, the 21-year old catcher stroked a 2-run single. For the game, de Gilde went 1 for 3 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Ft. Polk South skipper John Anderson.
