Thunder Hawks Rally For Late Win Over Grasshoppers
The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks defeated the San Bernardino Grasshoppers, 7-5, at Thunder Hawks Ballpark today. Leading the charge for Ft. Polk South was first baseman Carlos Castro. He was 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Ft. Polk South reliever Ricardo Peito picked up the win, bumping his record to 8-0. Júlio Antunez was collared with the loss. The Thunder Hawks saw their record improve to 35-23.

Ft. Polk South left fielder Pat Pending delivered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth. Overall, he went 3 for 5, including 1 home run, 1 single, and 1 double. He scored 1 run and batted in 3.
