Victory Over Eclipse Takes Ft. Polk South to 34-22
|
Ft. Polk South and Northville duked it out at Old-Timers Park and the Thunder Hawks came out victorious.
The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks downed the Northville Eclipse, 6-4, at Old-Timers Park. The Thunder Hawks were led by Gregory Clement, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Ft. Polk South now sits in second place in the Premier AA at 34-22.
Clement contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Ft. Polk South in the top of the third. With his team trailing 3-2, Clement took a cutter from Pi-ao Tsao and stroked the home run to right. His 9th home run of the season allowed the Thunder Hawks to leap in front, 5-3.
"Enjoyed this one," Clement told the Ft. Polk South Chronicle. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
