Herrera Hurls Complete Game at Mercer Island Grounds
The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles picked up a win at Mercer Island Grounds, knocking off the San Bernardino Grasshoppers, 2-1. Starting pitcher Pedro Herrera, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. The 'W' lifts Mercer Island's record to 31-21.

Herrera's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 7 strikeouts in 9 innings while allowing 4 hits. Herrera, who is tied for 3rd in the PAA with a 2.44 ERA, goes to 6-3 on the year with 54 strikeouts.

"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Herrera said.
