Pitcher Grover Lowdermilk was sensational for the New Orleans Voodoo in his team's 2-0 triumph over the Las Vegas Flamingos. Lowdermilk received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. In 6 innings, Lowdermilk surrendered 2 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 3. He allowed no runs. The Voodoo sit in last place in the Premier League with a record of 36-59.

New Orleans designated hitter Gilberto Juárez contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the sixth. With two down, he hit a fastball into left field for a run-scoring single. It was his 104th hit of the season and put the Voodoo ahead, 2-0.

"It was a solid team effort," said Lowdermilk after the game.
