Late Rally by Thunder Hawks Secures Win
Getting a good performance from catcher Juho Hovinen, the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks defeated the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, 7-3. Hovinen was 2-5 with a home run. He scored 3 times and drove in 3 for the Thunder Hawks. Ft. Polk South reliever Ricardo Peito picked up the win, upping his record to 6-0. Pavle Simic took the loss. The Thunder Hawks raised their record to 18-15.

Terry Kurucz made it 4-3 in favor of Ft. Polk South when he delivered a run-scoring single. It came with two out in the top of the ninth. The Thunder Hawks went on to win.

"The beers will taste better tonight after this win," said the ever-candid Kurucz.
