The Lake Minnetonka Love Boats got a superb performance from pitcher Carlos López. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Atlantic City. The Sonics won the game, 4-3. In spite of the loss, López was named the player of the game. He threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball. José González was credited with the save for Atlantic City, his 7th of the season. Atlantic City now has a 3-game win streak.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the bottom of the eighth inning. That's when shortstop Luis Rodríguez, who is tied for 8th in the PAA in hits with 35, hit a double. The Sonics went on to win.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Rodríguez.
