Patriots Lose to Evergreens in Walk Off
|
Portland Evergreens starter Robert Smalls was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Boston Patriots, 4-3. The winner was Portland reliever Anaías Pedroza, now 2-1. The loser was Shawn Williams. With the win, Portland goes to 56-38, while the Patriots fall to 51-43.
Late-game drama came in the bottom of the 11th inning. With one out and a runner on 1st, the batter, Armando Rodríguez, hit a single. It helped Portland seize the win.
"It's great when the crowd gets into it," Smalls said.
