Streaking Thunder Hawks Win Another One
The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks extended their winning streak at Springfield Stadium.

The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks took Springfield pitcher Hildebrand Michielsen's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Springfield Stadium. The final score had Ft. Polk South getting past the Shooters, 5-2. Michielsen went 6 innings and allowed 2 earned runs, striking out 8. Ft. Polk South reliever António García picked up the win to move to 1-0. Georgy Gilyazitdinov suffered the loss.

Ft. Polk South needed the clutch hitting of Marc Ben to notch the win. The catcher hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Thunder Hawks on top, 4-2. For the game, Ben had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Ben said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
