Clement Helps Thunder Hawks Run Win Streak to 5
|
Gregory Clement helped his team muscle past the Virginia Palladium Sox, 6-1. In the game, the Ft. Polk South designated hitter was 2-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 5. Jeff Wright, the winner, improved to 1-1. He held Virginia to 1 earned run on 4 hits over 5.2 innings, while racking up 6 strikeouts. The Thunder Hawks have now won 5 straight.
Ft. Polk South took a 6-1 lead on Clement's 5th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which he hit off Kevin Maughan in the bottom of the eighth, propelled Ft. Polk South to the win.
