Eclipse Continue Hot Start to Season With Win
|
Northville starter Pi-ao Tsao pitched effectively against the Minnesota Loons at Loony Bin. The right-hander led his team to a 4-2 win. Tsao, the winner, moves to 1-3. He threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 3 walks. James Callendar finished the game for Northville and earned his 7th save.
Northville used the timely hitting of Bill Dixon to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Eclipse ahead, 3-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"I like the roll we're on," said Northville manager Andha Gangulee.
The 8th-place Loons have lost 4 straight games.
