Love Boats Best Screaming Eagles in Pitching Duel

The Lake Minnetonka Love Boats picked up a win at Mercer Island Grounds, knocking off the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, 2-0. On the mound for Lake Minnetonka was right-hander Cipriano Pinto, who played a pivotal role in the win. At 11-10, the Love Boats are currently 4th in the Premier AA.
Lake Minnetonka used a timely hit from Arto Toikka to get the win. The center fielder delivered a run-scoring triple in the top of the fifth inning to put the Love Boats on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
Pinto called the win "a collective effort."
