Thunder Hawks Prevail, 6-4, Over Northville
|
The Thunder Hawks grabbed a win, 6-4, at Thunder Hawks Ballpark, overcoming a fine effort from Northville pitcher Chang-hoon Park. Park went 5.2 innings and allowed no earned runs. Sasheer Zamata was the winner. Over 5.2 innings, he allowed 4 runs on 6 hits, with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts. The Thunder Hawks keep rolling, raising their record to 5-3.
The Thunder Hawks grabbed the lead in the bottom of the first. With one out, Carlos Castro hit a 3-run home run off Ricardo Fraga, putting Ft. Polk South in front, 3-2. For Castro, it was his 1st home run of the season.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Castro.
