Loons Get Past Ft. Polk South for 4-3 Win
|
Minnesota rode a decent outing from starter Martyn Drdio to victory over the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks at Loony Bin. The final score was 4-3. Reliever Ricardo Ramírez picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Juan Espinosa took the loss. Minnesota goes to 4-1 with the win.
Had Jason Watts not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Watts hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Loons.
"I think we all put in a good day's work," said Drdio.
