Thunder Hawks Take Down Love Boats, 7-1

Ft. Polk South starter Sasheer Zamata put a stranglehold on the Lake Minnetonka offense. The right-hander had complete command of his curveball in leading the Thunder Hawks to a 7-1 win. The winner was Ft. Polk South reliever Ricardo Peito, now 1-0. The loser was Ramón Solís. The loss drops Lake Minnetonka to 1-1.
Had Carlos Castro not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Castro hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Thunder Hawks.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Thunder Hawks manager John Anderson, "I like our chances."
