Silver Sox Stumble, Lose to Patriots
|
Patriots second baseman Edward Sterrenburg put his stamp on his team's 8-3 win over the Chicago Silver Sox. Sterrenburg was 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk for Boston in the contest. Boston, at 37-28, sits in second place in the Premier League.
Boston needed the clutch hitting of Wilbur Davis to notch the win. The left fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Patriots on top, 3-0. For the game, Davis had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Sterrenburg.
