BC Squelch Voodoo Offense in Shutout Win
The Philadelphia 1776 BC got a magnificent performance from pitcher Elroy Thompkins, who muffled the New Orleans offense en route to a tight 3-0 BC win at Ben Franklin Memorial Coliseum. Kenji Aoki converted his 14th save in 15 tries. New Orleans is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 6 in a row.

Early in the game, left fielder Jake Grant had a run-scoring double for Philadelphia 1776. It was his 12th double of the season and put the BC on top, 1-0.

"Been a rough stretch for us," said New Orleans manager Chase Sims.
