Big Day by Velásquez Sparks Voodoo Win
New Orleans third baseman Orlando Velásquez had 3 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Vancouver Grey Wolves, 5-1. The win takes New Orleans to 2-3.

New Orleans used the timely hitting of Griffin Woodfinlevine to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the fourth inning to put the Voodoo on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

In comments to the New Orleans Daily News, Velásquez admitted he's been told to improve his work habits. "But," he said, "I know when to take it to another gear."
