Avino Shines in Flamingos Win
The Las Vegas Flamingos beat the Philadelphia 1776 BC, 7-2, at Ben Franklin Memorial Coliseum. Las Vegas first baseman Baldomero Avino earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He went 3-5 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Las Vegas is 6th in the Premier League with a record of 18-21.

With Las Vegas leading 1-0 in the top of the third, Avino hit a sinker from Elroy Thompkins for a 2-run home run. It was his 13th home run of the season and put the Flamingos ahead, 3-0.

"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Avino said.
