Flamingos Edge Grey Wolves, 4-3
|
The Strip was the site of a competitive game between the Vancouver Grey Wolves and Las Vegas Flamingos.
The Las Vegas Flamingos scored a 4-3 win versus the Vancouver Grey Wolves at The Strip. Las Vegas pitcher Kagetoki Matsubara nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. In 6 innings, Matsubara surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 2. He allowed 3 runs. Isaaka Ienimea finished the game for Las Vegas and earned his 1st save.
One important at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the second inning. Facing Vancouver hurler Kenny Aarnoutse, Ty Tomblin, who led the PL in triples with 7 last year, drew a walk. The Flamingos went on to win.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Vancouver manager David Krause. "The effort was great."
Las Vegas currently is in 6th place in the Premier League at 16-20.
