The San Bernardino Grasshoppers topped the Atlantic City Sonics, 7-5, at Sonics Ballpark. San Bernardino first baseman Eric Thomas earned player of the game honors. He banged out 2 singles and 2 doubles, while driving in 2 runs. San Bernardino is now 31-39, while Atlantic City is 42-28.

Thomas had a game-changing double in the top of the 12th. On a 1-2 splitter from Ramón Ocegueda, he banged a run-scoring double to right-center, giving the Grasshoppers a 6-5 lead. It was the 2nd double of the year for Thomas.

"There's no quit in this team," said Grasshoppers manager Glenn Draper.
