Alejándrez Rips Portland for 5 Hits
Friday, October 6th, 2034
Jorge Alejándrez put on a hitting clinic today as the Boston Patriots dumped the Portland Evergreens 13-5 at Dunkin Donuts Park.
The Boston first baseman made Portland defenders earn their pay, lashing Portland pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."
"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Alejándrez said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."
Jorge Alejándrez singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Ming-jiang Wu in the 8th.
Alejándrez is hitting .321 this year with 28 home runs and 77 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .379, 30 walks and scored 67 times.
