Voodoo Come Up Short at Nashville
|
The Nashville Outlaws did just enough to secure a 3-2 victory over the New Orleans Voodoo at Nashville Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Matthew Fallows, who captured player of the game honors. Fallows got the win, improving to 6-6. He allowed 6 hits and walked 1 over 7.1 innings. Fallows allowed 2 earned runs. Kenete Daku was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 19 of 25 save opportunities.
With two out in the bottom of the sixth, Bora Garasanin stroked a go-ahead run-scoring single. It was his 89th hit of the season and put Nashville in front, 3-2.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Fallows. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
At 43-46, Nashville is in 6th place in the Silver League.
