Thundercats Topple Aviators with Late Rally
|
With right fielder Juan Jose Hernández leading the charge, the Richardson City Thundercats defeated the Seattle Aviators, 5-4, at The Thunder Dome. Hernández, who is tied for 3rd in the SL in RBI with 58, went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 runs. Richardson City has now won 6 straight.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With two out, Hernández hit a cutter from Miguel Cervantes for a solo home run. The Thundercats, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"There's a lot of good karma around our club," said winning manager TJ Reynolds.
